When getting into Direct to Garment printing, you'll want to make sure and plan where your DTG is going to live. All DTGs should be in a climate controlled area. With the Polyprint Echo2, we've had good results keeping them in areas that are clean and able to be kept under 80 degrees and above 60 degrees.
Humidity is definitely a friend of DTG printers. Most climate controlled areas will not need additional humidity added to the area. However, when you're in a dry climate like Arizona you may need to bring in a humidifier where your DTG will be located.
The Polyprint Echo2 has built in sensors and thermoters that will alert you when it's too hot, color and the humidity level. I also recommend having a thermometer with humidity reading near your DTG like this one.
