  • Recommended startup procedure for DTGs.

While certain DTG printers will have specific startup procedures recommended, I've used this procedure with many different types and it's served me well.

When I go to start printing with a DTG, I will:
    1. Shake the white cartridges before turning on the unit. This helps keep the white ink mixed well and provide optimal white ink for printing.
    2. Perform a nozzle check. This will show you if there are any clogged nozzles that require a head cleaning.
    3. Depending on the nozzle check, you will want to perform a head cleaning. Most DTGs will have this as an option to do so in their RIP or through the printer menu.
